Design Manager – Permanent, Full-Time Position
Who is Size Group?
Launched in 2009 as a small construction venture between two friends, Size Group brings together the vital elements of property—from the construction of luxury buildings to the maintenance and management of a property portfolio.
The Role
As a Design Manager, you’ll take ownership of the design coordination process across our prime residential projects, ensuring that design intent is delivered seamlessly from concept through to completion.
Reporting to the Project Director, your core responsibilities will include:
- Managing all design-related activities, liaising with:
- Architects
- Consultants
- Subcontractors
- Ensuring compliance with:
- Client requirements
- Statutory regulations
- Programme milestones
- Driving design solutions that balance quality, cost, and buildability
- Maintaining highest standards in the luxury residential sector

- Lead design reviews and manage stakeholder communication
- Ensure timely production and approval of drawings and technical documentation
- Monitor design progress against programme and proactively resolve design issues
- Coordinate subcontractor design packages and manage design risk
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal teams
About You
To apply for this role, you will have:
- A minimum of five years’ experience in design management, ideally with a main contractor
- A strong background in prime residential construction; experience with complex structural and architectural details is highly desirable
- An excellent understanding of building regulations and design coordination processes
- Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- A degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline
