Hull, East Yorkshire

Are you a Design Engineer or Design Manager from a machinery or pneumatics background, looking to step into a leadership role where you'll manage a skilled design team and help deliver bespoke machinery to some of the biggest names in food manufacturing?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established industry leader with over 60 years of engineering expertise, designing and manufacturing bespoke food processing and automation machinery for globally recognised manufacturers including Bakkavor, Ramona's Food, and other leading food producers.

In this role, you'll lead and mentor a team of talented design engineers, overseeing projects from concept through to manufacture while working closely with senior leadership, production, procurement, and customers. You'll drive continuous improvement, ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, and help deliver innovative automation solutions for clients across the UK and internationally.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
