Design Studio Assistant Design & Brand Southbank Centre, London Full-Time Permanent | £32,300/year | 40 hrs/week

About the Role
We are seeking a Design Studio Assistant to join our Design & Brand team on a full-time permanent basis, acting as the backbone of day-to-day studio operations. You will oversee project workflows, manage print commissioning, and facilitate seamless communication between our design team, colleagues, and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities
Print & Project Coordination
- Execute the end-to-end print commissioning process, including:
- Daily communication with print and signage suppliers
- Obtaining quotes, filing artwork requests, and securing proof approvals
- Tracking deliveries and coordinating installations
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) aligned with budget codes, managing invoice tracking with the Design Studio Manager.
Stakeholder Management & Admin
- Maintain real-time transparency of project progress via Asana.
- Respond to Design Studio enquiries, directing stakeholders to relevant team members.
- Support the freelance workflow:
- Set up freelancers on the payroll system
- Amend and distribute contracts for collaboration
- Share design files securely
Essential Skills & Experience
- Precision & organisation: Track record of meticulously managing administrative tasks under deadlines.
- Clear communication: Proven ability to collaborate professionally with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Multi-tasking: Strong time management to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Technical proficiency:
- Fluency in Google Workspace for communication and documentation
- Willingness to learn (or prior experience with) a project management tool like Asana.
- Soft skills:
- Confidence in liaising with freelancers and vendors
- Willingness to problem-solve whilst maintaining discretion
