Design Systems Analyst
Department: Specialist Modelling Location: London
Description
As a Design Systems Analyst at Foster + Partners, you will help develop and implement advanced digital methodologies that support the modelling, simulation and analysis of complex architectural projects. You’ll work closely with project teams across all stages of design and construction, driving innovation in computational design, geometry control and digital fabrication workflows while contributing to a research-driven, technology focused environment.
This role is ideal if you want to:
Develop advanced methodologies for geometry control, modelling and digital workflows. Collaborate with project teams across design, documentation, fabrication and construction stages. Research and test new modelling techniques, tools and digital technologies. Promote innovative digital methods and support their adoption within project teams. Work at the intersection of design, technology and computation in a highly specialised environment.

What you will bring to the team:
Expertise in areas such as computational design, advanced geometric modelling, BIM, visualisation or digital fabrication. Strong knowledge of CAD, CAE, CAM, BIM workflows, digital fabrication technologies and 3D project workflows Proficiency in tools such as MicroStation, Rhino, Revit, Dynamo, Grasshopper, Generative Components or CATIA. Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline. Programming skills in languages such as Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, Processing or VBA. Understanding of geometry-driven design workflows and their impact on construction. Desirable: experience with OpenGL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript or WebGL.
