Role: Design Technology Teacher
Location: Jubilee School, Waterlooville PO7 7RE
Salary: £40,000 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am – 4.30pm
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: September 2026

About the Role
Are you a passionate Design & Technology teacher who believes learning should be practical, purposeful and inspiring?
We're looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to join our team and help transform the lives of young people through creative, hands-on learning. This is more than teaching Design & Technology—it's about giving pupils the confidence, resilience and life skills they need to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

What You’ll Do
- Deliver engaging, creative and inclusive lessons that inspire every learner to achieve their full potential.
- Plan, teach and assess a broad and exciting Design & Technology curriculum, adapting learning to meet individual needs, including those with SEND.
- Create a safe, stimulating and well-resourced learning environment where curiosity and practical problem-solving thrive.
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, celebrate achievement and provide targeted support for pupils who need it most.
- Develop pupils' literacy, numeracy, digital and employability skills through meaningful Design & Technology projects.
- Promote independence, resilience, teamwork and confidence through practical learning experiences.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, colleagues and external agencies to support outstanding outcomes.
- Contribute to wider school life, curriculum development and continuous school improvement.

About You
- PgCert Education or equivalent with DT Experience required
- Delivers consistently high-quality teaching and has high expectations for every pupil.
- Can engage and motivate learners with diverse needs and abilities.
- Understands the importance of inclusive education and effective differentiation.
- Is a reflective practitioner who is committed to continual professional development.
- Driving licence required
