Designer Womenswear (12 Month FTC)

To support our Design team we are searching for a Designer Womenswear (12 Month FTC) @MYTHERESA to be based in our London office.

What You Will Do

  • Refine existing and develop new blocks in collaboration with the Technical team, defining the fit, shape and aesthetic of the brand
  • Create design packs and support the launch of new collections
  • Source fabrics and trims, working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver ranges in line with the critical path
  • Collaborate with the Technical team on fits and product development
  • Work alongside the Creative Director, Buyer and Product team on trend and style analysis to ensure a balanced collection and contribute to range presentations
  • Travel to fabric fairs and factories in the UK and abroad
  • Support the team on a part-time basis (up to 20h / week)

Who You Are

  • Passion for womenswear design, with a strong understanding of the customer and brand
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a luxury womenswear design role with a focus on outerwear
  • Creative and commercially minded designer with a strong portfolio showcasing innovative design work
  • Excellent knowledge of woven fabrics, garment construction, trims and hardware
  • Proficient in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CAD and Excel
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail, strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
