Your role

Generate trade ideas across EUR and GBP Investment Grade corporate credit markets, working closely with traders to identify opportunities, recycle risk, optimise inventory and contribute to desk P&L.

  • Analyse earnings releases, rating actions, M&A activity, financings and broader market developments, providing timely and actionable views.
  • Support the risk management of desk positions through ongoing issuer and sector analysis.
  • Develop client-facing trade ideas and present recommendations to sales teams and investors.
  • Build strong relationships with Equity Research, Debt Capital Markets and other product partners to leverage expertise and identify cross-platform opportunities.
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to franchise development.
  • Leverage technology, data and AI-driven tools to enhance analysis, improve coverage and generate differentiated trade ideas.
  • Identify opportunities to automate routine analysis, improve monitoring capabilities and increase responsiveness to market events.

Your team

You will join a successful EUR and GBP Investment Grade Corporate Credit Trading desk within Global Markets. The team works closely with Sales, Equity Research and Capital Markets colleagues to identify relative value opportunities, manage risk and generate revenue across European corporate credit markets.

Your expertise

  • 5+ years' experience covering Investment Grade and crossover credits at a sell-side or buy-side institution.
  • Strong credit analysis and trade idea generation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with buy-side portfolio managers and credit analysts, with a proven track record of originating and commercialising investment ideas.
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on P&L generation and risk-adjusted returns.
  • Ability to assess new information quickly and develop clear, actionable investment views.
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic trading environment where opportunities often require quick decisions within hours rather than days.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate investment ideas clearly to traders, sales teams and clients.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong focus on overall desk performance and franchise success.
  • Strong interest in leveraging technology, data analytics and AI to improve investment decision-making and analytical efficiency.
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious and able to thrive in a high-performance environment.
  • You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
