Role Overview

We are looking for a driven Desk Based Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of SMB customers. You will be responsible for building strong relationships, understanding your customers' businesses, retaining and expanding existing accounts, and identifying opportunities to introduce additional Eque2 solutions where they add value.

This role would suit someone who is ambitious, resilient, and motivated by achieving outstanding results, with a desire to exceed targets rather than simply meet them. You will be confident engaging with decision-makers, uncovering customer needs, and delivering a service that keeps customers engaged and successful.

Key responsibilities

  • Be able to work as a team and work towards a team and individual target.
  • Provide weekly forecasting and able to describe in detail sales opportunities in pipeline.
  • Be able to create opportunities from outbound calling.
  • Work with internal teams such as finance, support, professional services and customer care to answer customer queries quickly.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts and create close plans for longer term opportunities.
  • Ensure CRM is always kept up to date with customer contact details and interactions.
  • Follow up inbound leads in a timely manner and look to maximise those opportunities.
  • Understand our competitors and how we compete in the market.
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of all Eque2 Evaluate and work with Product team to share any insights from customer feedback.
  • Share ideas with the marketing team regarding buying trends for future campaigns.

Required Experience & Skills

  • At least 5 years in an Account Management role
  • Experience selling moving customers from on prem solutions to SaaS cloud solutions
  • Ability to deal with multiple opportunities at one time – circa 20 to 30
  • Articulate and able to create and write good proposals
  • Excellent time management and be able to handle multiple queries at once

Advantageous

  • Understanding of the construction industry
  • Understanding of financial / accounts packages – specifically Sage
  • MEDDPIC sales framework
