Job Description
Location: Nationwide (Travel required across the UK)
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Services Bench Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. This role is pivotal in providing exceptional technical support and service delivery to our clients. As a Bench Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware issues, ensuring that IT equipment operates efficiently and meets our clients' needs. Your proactive attitude and technical expertise will help us maintain our reputation for outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and committed to a high level of customer service;
- Client infrastructure and IT systems vary, so a broad skill set and experience is advantageous;
- Applicants will be expected to travel throughout the UK to client sites on demand to provide support, cover vacation and sick leave, assist on projects, and be ready to hit the ground running;
- Travel to client sites across the UK on-demand, providing on-site support as required;
- Maintain a positive, helpful attitude while managing workloads and stress effectively;
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues related to PCs, laptops, printers, and other IT devices;
- Provide technical support in Microsoft Windows environments (may vary depending on client), ensuring optimal performance of client systems;
- Utilize remote administrative tools in the Microsoft Windows environments (may vary depending on client) to troubleshoot and resolve client issues efficiently;
- Conduct basic troubleshooting and smart hands support for LAN, wireless, and VPN technologies to provide effective solutions;
- Manage user accounts and access rights utilizing Azure, Active Directory, and Exchange;
- Set up and maintain printers and multi-functional devices connected to client networks;
- Collaborate with team members and clients to identify and implement improvements in service delivery;
- Stay updated on modern technologies and best practices to enhance the quality of IT support provided.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT Support Role;
- Mastery of Windows 10 and 11, and MS Office 365;
- Proven skills in diagnosing hardware problems for PCs, laptops, and printers;
- Knowledge of remote administrative tools in the Windows 11 environment;
- Understanding of LAN, wireless, and VPN technologies for basic troubleshooting;
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Exchange;
- Experience with printers and multi-functional devices in a networked environment;
- A full driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for travel;
- Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset;
- Flexible and agile personality, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Work Conditions:
- Working hours: 40 working hours per week
- Contract type: Permanent
- Working setup (hybrid, on-site, remote): On-site
