We are excited to announce that Audaglass Engineering is expanding, and we’re looking for a talented Desktop Motor Engineer and Estimator to join our growing team.

Job Overview

  • Position: Desktop Motor Engineer and Estimator
  • Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience)
  • Type: Full-time, Permanent
  • Location: Remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct desktop vehicle assessments using photographs and supporting documentation.
  • Accurately estimate damage, repair methods, and associated costs.
  • Produce clear, professional reports outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and clients, explaining assessment outcomes.
  • Liaise with repairers to ensure alignment on repair methods and costs.
  • Maintain accurate records and an organised workflow.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in vehicle repair, damage assessment, or estimating (insurance, bodyshop, or accident management background preferred).
  • Strong understanding of repair methods and cost evaluation.
  • Experience with industry tools such as E-scribe, Glass’s Guide, Audatex, or GT Motive.
  • Solid knowledge of roadworthy vs. unroadworthy standards under the Road Traffic Act.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • ATA VDA certification and AQP qualification are desirable but not essential.
