Desktop Support Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a technically skilled Desktop Support Specialist to address service work orders, support end-user devices, and assist with network and data center infrastructure. The role involves:
- Working on projects of moderate complexity
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Providing onsite technical support
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for:
- PCs, laptops
- Cabling, televisions, projectors
- Phones, peripherals
- Site security equipment
- Perform troubleshooting and resolution of service work orders
- Assist with data center and application architecture support
- Troubleshoot basic network issues and support switches, routers, and firewalls (under guidance of the Nutanix Remote Resolver Team)
- Support backup, tape, and exchange infrastructures
- Assist with integration and customization of hardware components (operating systems and networks)
- Document and report technical issues clearly; run workshops for information collation
- Work on moderately complex projects, collaborating with intercompany teams
- Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures

Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in IT support or a related field
- Working knowledge of:
- PCs, laptops, peripherals, and site security equipment
- Cabling, televisions, projectors, and phones
- Backup, tape, and exchange infrastructures
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including reporting)
- Ability to assist with router and switch configuration (under remote guidance)
- Familiarity with network administration (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote resolver teams

Nice-to-Have
- Experience with Nutanix environments
