Temporary to Permanent Despatch Operative
(Full-Time, Swindon)
Position Overview
Hours: Full-Time (9:30 AM – 6:00 PM Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Friday) Salary: Dependent on experience Location: Swindon
We are seeking a Despatch Operative to join a thriving warehouse team. This role will support the Despatch Team Leader and require experience in fast-paced warehouse operations. Ideal candidates will ensure smooth daily despatch functions and maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of Export Compliance requirements and policies.
- Resolve customer order queries in collaboration with Sales Teams.
- Enforce FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and batch traceability protocols.
- Monitor and update Despatch KPIs daily.
- Perform picking and packing tasks efficiently.
- Operate Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Assist with the operation of Warehouse Picker systems and related vehicles (e.g., Wave Picker).
- Undertake additional duties as directed by management.

Person Specification
Essential Requirements
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
- High numeracy and literacy levels.
- Prove previous experience in:
- A busy warehouse environment, particularly in despatch operations.
- Using complex picking systems and automated equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Additional Experience (Desirable)
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Software (e.g., Wave Picker).
