Despatch Operative
Despatch Operatives – Europe’s Leading Food Processor
About the Role
If you’re looking for a career in the food industry, we are [Company Name], one of Europe’s leading food processing companies. We have exciting vacancies within a strong team for Despatch Operatives, whose key objective is to ensure the efficient running of the department.
As a Despatch Operative, you’ll assist in a range of critical tasks, including:
Shift Patterns
- 0600 AM – 1430 PM (Mon–Fri)
- 0915 AM – 1745 PM (Mon–Fri)
Key Responsibilities
- Stock Management
- Stack, rotate and conduct stock takes in chill storage
- Select correct stock for assembling orders and transfer stock to the despatch bay

Documentation & Order Processing
- Process relevant documentation for each consignment
- Scan and verify all crates on every pallet before despatch
- Check for correct crate counts on each pallet and ensure proper destination recording

Operational Support
- Assist in associated duties across other departments when required
- Maintain cleanliness and uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards

- Physical Agility: Comfortable working in physical and chilled environments
- Attitude & Approach:
- Positive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
- Able to work independently while contributing to a team-centric environment
- Flexible with readiness to cover extra hours when demanded by customer requirements
- Experience (Preferred but not Essential):
- Ideally trained in forklift (counterbalance), though formal training will be provided if required
