Despatch Operative – Dungannon Site

We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join our team at our Dungannon site. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and reliable individual who enjoys hands-on work and being part of a supportive team.

About the Role

As a Despatch Operative, you will be responsible for the handling, storage, and despatch of all frozen and chilled food products while ensuring adherence to hygiene, quality, and health and safety standards. A key element of this role includes working as part of a team to meet despatch KPIs.

Working Hours

✅ Team D: 06:00 – 18:00

📅 Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 📅 Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday


Key Responsibilities

  • Handling and storage of all frozen and chilled food products
  • Despatched of all frozen and chilled food products
  • Record keeping and completion of relevant paperwork
  • Temperature recording within the despatch area
  • Correct labelling of pallets
  • Poly-wrapping of product
  • Blast-chilling of product
  • General housekeeping of the work area
  • Any other duties as required

Essential Skills & Experience

Must: ✔ Speak, read, and write English ✔ Be numerate ✔ Be highly observant and detail-oriented ✔ Able to read documentation to an acceptable standard ✔ Demonstrate experience in completing paperwork ✔ Show logical thinking and attention to detail ✔ Maintain a positive attitude toward work and colleagues ✔ Exhibit strong team-working ability


Desirable Experience & Skills

Preferably: ✅ Good communication and interpersonal skills ✅ Ability to record data neatly and accurately ✅ Understanding of temperature control ✅ Previous experience in a food factory ✅ Despatch experience ✅ Counterbalance Forklift and/or Electric Pallet Truck licence
