Job Title: Production Planner
Location: Glasgow, Scotstoun – Full time onsite

Salary: Up to £42,707 (dependent on skills and experience)

Role Description:
You will be part of our growing community of Production Planners within the organisation playing a key role in enabling our Manufacturing colleagues to successfully deliver our Customer commitments. You will have support from your Lead Production Planner as well as the wider Production Planning management community to both deliver in the role and to professionally develop. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the biggest projects underway within the country and work closely with the product we are delivering.
Core Duties:
- Translation of the ship design & project build plan into production plan (level 3/level 4) activities, logic, resourcing & budget as well as the embodiment of change, supporting the QLA (Quarterly Lookahead) process and plan
- Assign and maintain BOM (Bill of Materials) Items to appropriate activities in line with build strategy and planning standard procedures, establishing demand for Procured and Manufactured materials
- Responsible for supporting the Project Manager/CAM (Control Account Manager) with weekly targets and performance guidance
- Work with Logistics and the Manufacturing Shops to ensure material is requested for delivery and made available in sufficient time to support planned activities and ensure work is fully enabled
- Ensure all non-material work orders and work orders for additional work are included in the plan (to include agreed quality and safety tasks)
- Provide key support and guidance to the Integrated Delivery Team members through regular engagement and a visible presence as the ship moves through all build phases

Essential Skills:
- Experience using Windchill (PDM), AVEVA ERM (MPR) and CMPIC (Cable Management) or equivalents
- Manufacturing production experience
- Able to rationalise large volumes of data and articulate issues and consequences
- Experience within engineering/manufacturing industries
