As a Developer at Consumer Intelligence, you’ll join a fantastic team dedicated to powering the business and accelerating our insight through critical IT infrastructure. Operating in a small business with the opportunity to make a huge impact.
You’ll help us transform strategic goals into the reliable, secure, and modern software that underpins our business operations. The Development team is essential in maintaining high levels of system stability while also guiding the research and development that keeps our technology effective and forward-looking.
At Consumer Intelligence, we’re primarily utilising a Microsoft stack with a mix of platforms for front and backend systems; this role would be ideal for a candidate with a mix of experience across these technologies, and/or a keenness for learning new systems.
What you’ll achieve
- Project Delivery: Deliver robust, scalable, and secure system solutions that directly execute the business's technology roadmap and strategic goals.
- Operational Excellence & Security: Support the technical integrity of business-critical systems, implementing best practices to ensure uptime, mitigate security risks, and support our compliance obligations.
- Technical Innovation: Invest in R&D that explores emerging technologies, including AI and Machine Learning, transforming concepts into tangible prototypes and solutions.
- Team Enablement & Resilience: Be immersed in a culture of knowledge sharing and teamwork, eliminating key-person dependencies and elevating the team's collective technical capabilities.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Strengthen collaboration by acting as a primary technical lead on internal projects, translating business needs into clear technical specifications.
What you’ll do
- Project Support: Support the end-to-end delivery of development projects, including the design, testing, and implementation of cost-effective automated system solutions.
- System Integrity: Provide ongoing support and enhancement for all existing business platforms and embed security into the development lifecycle (DevSecOps), ensuring system resilience and full business continuity.
- Solution engineering: Help translate business and client requirements into efficient technical solutions, leading the research and validation of new technologies and libraries to solve complex problems.
- Knowledge Sharing: Embrace a culture of high-quality code, continuous learning, and clear documentation to remove single-person dependencies.
- Quality & Monitoring: Implement and manage monitoring for systems to ensure performance against KPIs, tackle quality problems and report on technical progress and risks.
- Internal Collaboration: Operate as a technical contact on projects and manage relationships with internal stakeholders, translating technical information for non-technical audiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
