The Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Developer - C#/.Net to join Robert Walters as a Consultant.

As a consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an assignment within our clients' organisations. In return, we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional support.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global business, providing top-tier service to our blue chip clients.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop and support C#/.NET and SQL solutions for the Fair Value Engine integration and curve/data mapping application.
  • Build and maintain interfaces between vendor platforms and internal Finance, Risk and Reporting systems, ensuring accurate data transformation and reconciliation.
  • Develop and enhance the ISIN-to-curve mapping application, including reference data management and user interface functionality.
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects and vendors to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Deliver high-quality, well-tested code, supporting unit testing, integration testing, UAT and production releases.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and implement enhancements to improve system performance and reliability.

What you bring

  • Strong C#/.NET and SQL Server development experience, building enterprise-grade applications, APIs and database solutions, including query optimisation and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with systems integration and data transformation, including APIs, messaging, ETL processes, third-party platform integration and reference data or mapping applications.
  • Good knowledge of Fixed Income and repo products, including trade lifecycle, ISINs, market data, valuation concepts and fair value methodologies.
  • Previous experience delivering technology solutions within investment banking or capital markets, working closely with Finance, Risk, Business Analysts, Architects and vendor teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Experience with testing frameworks, Finance UAT and tools such as JIRA and Confluence, with the ability to produce clean, maintainable and well-tested code.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, supported by a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or equivalent commercial experience.
