Job Description

About EnergyOne EnergyOne is a leading provider of innovative energy trading and operations software. We help energy retailers, generators, and traders manage complex markets with efficiency and reliability. As part of our expanding development team, you will contribute to building high-performance, scalable software solutions used across the global energy sector.

Role Overview We are seeking a Software Developer with strong object-oriented programming skills and experience working with .NET as well as writing tests using Playwright and/or Selenium. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, eager to learn, and open to adopting modern cloud and microservice-based architectures. You will work with a cross-functional team to design, develop, and maintain applications that support EnergyOne’s platform and services. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your expertise while contributing to meaningful, real-world systems in the energy industry.

The Role

Experience in software development with C# and .NET (.NET Framework and/or .NET Core). Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns. Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design and SQL development. Experience building REST and Soap APIs and working with JSON/XML data formats. Familiarity with source control systems, preferably Git. Familiarity with Selenium, TypeScript and Playwright Problem-solving mindset and effective communication skills.

Essential Requirements

Develop, maintain, and enhance .NET applications using C# and related technologies. Develop, maintain and enhance Playwright and Selenium suite of tests Contribute to the design and architecture of software components following object-oriented principles and best practices. Work with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. Collaborate with the team on the design and implementation of microservices and distributed systems. Assist in integrating new features into existing Windows Services and cloud-ready components. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, test, and production environments. Follow Agile development methodologies and contribute to continuous improvement

Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills While not mandatory, experience in the following areas will be considered a strong advantage:

Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. Microservices architecture and distributed system patterns. Angular experience Windows Services development and maintenance. Docker and container-based development workflows. Experience with automated testing (unit testing, integration testing). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. Energy industry experience or interest in energy markets.
