Developer

Threat Intelligence Developer – Cyber Services and Capabilities
NCC’s Threat Intelligence Engineering Team is recruiting a Developer to support analysts and engineers in delivering an unparalleled cyber threat intelligence capability. This role involves building, deploying, securing, monitoring, and maintaining application extensions, automations, and auxiliary tooling for our primary Threat Intelligence platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Building, deploying, securing, monitoring, and maintaining Python application extensions and CLI tooling
- Connecting diverse backend systems to eliminate siloed data repositories
- Bridging the technical gap between developers, engineers, and analysts via automations and tooling
- Providing support and robust solutions for automatable processes in collaboration with engineers and analysts
- Identifying automation opportunities within the department
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Essential Capabilities and Understanding
- Python and Bash: Advanced proficiency in connecting backend systems and developing CLI tools
- AWS: Deep understanding of cloud networking and computing concepts
- DevOps: Experience working within a DevOps environment
- Containerisation: Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes
- Security: Strong grasp of cloud computing security principles
- Technical Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts concisely to non-technical team members
- Problem-Solving & Innovation: Creative approach to designing new solutions from the ground up

Preferable Capabilities and Understanding
- Backend Development: Experience building/optimising backend systems
- Data Management: Familiarity with data transformation and management
- Threat Intelligence: Experience with tooling/platforms like OpenCTI or MISP
- STIX/TAXII Standards: Knowledge of STIX2/TAXII2 standards
- Open-Source Contributions: Work with open-source software projects
- Additional Development Skills: Any supplementary programming or scripting experience
