Development Analyst

The Ascott Limited is seeking an analytical, self-motivated, and articulate Development Analyst to join our Business Development Europe team, who collectively spearhead the growth of our Lodging portfolio, when it comes to lease, management, and franchise agreements.

You will report to a Business Development Director, focusing on a specific scope/region and also at times supporting the wider Europe scope as well. Your immediate team and colleagues are based in London and across Europe, and you will be based at our UK Corporate Office in London, collaborating with our support function teams for our European portfolio.

Responsibilities

As the Development Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering financial modelling and investment analysis to evaluate development opportunities and project viability
  • Conducting market, competitor, and feasibility research to identify opportunities and provide commercially focused recommendations that support Ascott's growth objectives
  • Preparing business cases, development proposals, and management presentations that communicate insights, risks, opportunities, and investment rationale
  • Supporting the development pipeline through opportunity screening, project tracking, CRM management, and coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of development projects and strategic growth initiatives across Europe

Requirements

To be successful in the role of Development Analyst, we require you to have:

  • Previous experience of 2-3 years in real estate/financial institutions/developer/consultant or operator, ideally with a focus on hospitality
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Real Estate/Finance/Business Administration
  • Ability to carry out financial analysis to evaluate deals effectively with sound quantitative skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • A critical thinker, solutions-oriented individual with strong analytical skills
  • Capable to work autonomously, yet collaborate and engage with various stakeholders and teams
  • Multilingual (a second language is advantageous)
