Development and Support Analyst SB
To strengthen our team in London/Birmingham we are currently looking for a:
Development and Support Analyst SB
The individual will report to the Head of Development and will work in a hybrid role, alternating between development and application support on a rotational basis. The individual will work closely with business analysts, quality assurance, project management, and other programmer/analysts.

- Assist in the production of detailed specifications and programming functional requirements
- Assist with unit testing and the preparation of technical specifications when necessary
- Work in a fast-paced support environment
- Assist the dedicated customer support team, reporting to the Support Manager
- Be involved in all aspects of application support for Objectway products operated by customers
Requirements:
- Education to degree level preferred, however candidates will be primarily assessed on practical work experience
- A minimum of 2 years commercial experience of COBO
- Good knowledge of COBOL with ‘embedded SQL’ coding
- Business analysis skills would be advantageous
- Ability to communicate ideas and thoughts clearly and concisely is essential
- Presentation skills would be advantageous
- Willingness to travel - occasional visits and working at client sites
- Experience in the following is considered as preferable: Experience of COBOL.NET, Experience of VB.NET, Experience of using GitLab, Experience of developing financial systems (Trading platforms; Financial messaging, security settlement).

Nice to have:
- Experience of Visual Studio 2017
- Any experience of developing in .NET
- Experience of SQL Server
- Experience of Open technologies
- Exposure to Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with XML-based formats and working with XSLT
- Familiarity with principles of communications – FTP, sFTP, MQ Messaging
- Any experience of IBMi
- Writing test scripts
- Writing specifications
- Client Support
- Knowledge of Wealth Management business
