Development Engineer - EBM
About the role
As Development Engineer you will develop new and existing tooling, materials, and processes, ensuring all work is delivered effectively, efficiently, and in line with Company and Customer standards. You will report to the Chief Development Engineer and the working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:00 am - 17:00 pm; Friday 08:00 am - 16:00 pm

Develop new or existing tools, materials, and process equipment as required. Identify and implement improvements to current processes, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are maintained. Provide trouble shooting support and improvement ideas for daily production issues when needed.
Adhere to Company policies and procedures related to health & safety, quality, and environmental management. Ensure all development activities comply with Company and Customer quality standards. Maintain clear and comprehensive communication with development teams, shift personnel, peers, cross‑functional departments, and departmental managers. Liaise with external stakeholders when required. Complete all required documentation, reporting, and administrative tasks accurately and on time. Undertake additional duties relevant to the role as required. Responsibilities may vary from time to time without altering the overall nature or level of the position.

Qualifications/Requirements
Engineering qualification Clear and proven competence of working in a relevant processing environment The ability to work on one’s own initiative to achieve objectives and taking responsibility for work/actions undertaken The ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and at all levels within the Company and with customers Confident in challenging existing practices and looking for continuous improvement in all areas of work Is able to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives Able to respond positively to changing work demands Takes decisive action to address and react to opportunities and problems in day to day work Is conscientious and thorough in all aspects of work responsibilities, and has a professional approach to work Has a logical and methodical approach to problem solving/fault finding issues Desire to give a good service, recognising the importance of customer satisfaction on their own work Able to follow instruction, to ensure work is completed as required Ability to undertake duties in every respect as laid out in the job description (further to training if required). Injection Moulding formal qualifications at PTL (BPTA) or similar (desirable) High level knowledge of the company software systems and excel/work (desirable)
