We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Development Lead to join our IT team, supporting the successful delivery of technology projects and products across the business.
This is a full-time hybrid role and can be based anywhere across the network. There will be a requirement to attend Ansty as needed typically a minimum of quarterly attendance, although flexibility will be required depending on project demands, which may occasionally mean attending 2–3 days per week.

As a Development Lead, you’ll play a key role in leading cross-functional teams and driving the successful delivery of technology projects from initiation through to completion. You’ll work closely with developers, stakeholders, suppliers, and business teams to ensure delivery aligns with business strategy, quality standards, and customer needs.
This is a high-impact role where you’ll combine leadership, agile delivery, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement to deliver real business value.
What you’ll be doing
Lead project & product delivery
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of IT projects and products
- Coordinate internal teams and external delivery partners
Drive agile delivery & continuous improvement
- Support and improve agile delivery frameworks and ceremonies
- Facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and delivery practices
Manage stakeholders & communication
- Act as the bridge between technical teams, stakeholders, and senior management
- Communicate project progress, risks, financials, and priorities clearly

Manage risk, performance & quality
- Identify and mitigate project risks, blockers, and dependencies
- Monitor delivery quality and ensure adherence to standards and SDLC principles
Support product vision & roadmap delivery
- Help shape and prioritise product backlogs
- Support roadmap planning and delivery alignment
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a confident and adaptable delivery professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving successful technology outcomes. You’ll thrive in collaborative environments and be comfortable managing multiple priorities.
Experience
- Proven experience leading IT project or product delivery
- Experience working with software vendors or delivery partners
- Experience leading cross-functional technical teams
Skills
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and delivery methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Understanding of software development lifecycles and technical delivery
- Ability to motivate teams and drive high performance
