Development Manager

We're looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced individual to take up the role of Development Manager in our Development Delivery Team.
Our Development Delivery Team, with the backing of a Strategic Partnership relationship with Homes England are responsible for securing land and delivering an ambitious programme of high quality, multi-tenure, new build homes across both rural and urban locations in the North of England.
This role will help drive further growth in new homes across our expanding geography and help to deliver high quality new affordable homes to the market.
About The Role
The role will work closely with the Head of Land and Partnerships in each region will be to lead the new business team in overseeing all aspects of pre-construction activity including partnership development, acquiring land and property to deliver land led development, acquiring homes under s.106 arrangements, securing design and planning approvals for multi-tenure developments, tendering projects and entering build contracts with construction partners and housebuilders.
This role will be instrumental in supporting Karbon's commitments to Homes England as a Strategic Partner, alongside accelerating Karbon's growth ambition
across Yorkshire and North East on developments. These range from small rural to large multi-phased and multi tenure development utilising both traditional and modern methods of construction.
Our agile working approach means you'll have the ability to manage the new business team and your own time working across development sites with both office and home/remote working available, enabling you to have the flexibility of a working pattern that balances the business, team, customer and your needs.

About You
We're looking to strengthen the leadership credentials within the team by attracting an experienced housing development professionals who have a
strong teamwork and collaboration ethos.
You'll be a dynamic team player and part of the Development Delivery Team,
enabling you to influence new strategies and shape policies to enable delivery.
You'll have a proven track record in delivering multiple complex grant and
non-grant-funded housing development projects, producing investment appraisals, managing cashflows, managing staff and securing contracts within timescales to deliver results while ensuring within new business decisions customer satisfaction in new homes product and service delivery are fully considered.

Development Manager (North East) - Permanent role Salary is £59,441 per annum plus a Karbon car payment of £2317 per annum (pending pay review) Location: Offices based in Stanley or Gosforth Regular travel will be required across the North East 37 hours per week with agile working This post will require frequent site visits and trips Karbon's other offices in the North East
