Cambridge Muslim College is looking for an exceptional fundraiser to lead and grow its philanthropic income and to help shape the future of one of Britain's most distinctive educational institutions.

The College is small, intellectually rigorous, and doing work that matters. It trains a generation of Muslim scholars and leaders who are deeply grounded in their tradition and equipped to engage confidently with contemporary Britain. Philanthropic giving funds the majority of what the College does. Growing and sustaining that support is not just a financial priority; it is what makes the mission possible.

That's where you come in.

The Role

As Development Manager (Fundraising and Engagement), you will lead the College's fundraising function, combining hands-on major donor work with strategic oversight of income growth, campaigns, and communications. You will report to the Registrar and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and Trustees.

This is a role with real scope. You will inherit an established donor community, a strong philanthropic culture, and a mission that resonates deeply with supporters. You will also have the opportunity to build: developing underdeveloped income streams, introducing stronger systems and pipeline management, and helping to shape a five-year strategy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
