Development Manager
Location: Cheshire Salary: Up to £70,000 plus bonus and package
A growing strategic land and development business in Cheshire is seeking a Development Manager to oversee new homes, care schemes, and mixed-use developments across England and Wales. This role offers real ownership, taking planning applications from concept through to determination—not just routine administration.
The Role
- Run planning applications from inception to determination
- Coordinate consultant teams across planning, highways, ecology, drainage, and heritage
- Manage programmes, budgets, and risk across multiple live applications
- Liasise with local authorities and address officer queries
- Support appeals and shape planning strategy on new sites

You (Requirements & Experience)
- A background in planning or development, ideally in:
- Residential
- Strategic land
- Mixed-use
- Care schemes
- Strong understanding of the UK planning system
- Confidence in coordinating external consultants and technical teams
- Well-organised with commercial acumen, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- A MRTPI qualification is useful but not essential

The Package
- Basic salary: Up to £70,000
- Performance-related bonus
