Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Key Responsibilities

As a Development Technologist, you'll play an important role in developing innovative food solutions while supporting projects from concept through to launch.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting New Product Development (NPD) and Existing Product Development (EPD) projects from concept through to commercial launch
  • Developing, preparing, and presenting product samples in the development kitchen
  • Assisting with recipe development, reformulation, product optimization, ingredient testing, and supplier evaluations
  • Supporting kitchen trials, factory trials, and first production runs
  • Researching food trends, ingredients, and market innovations to inspire new product concepts

  • Supporting customer presentations, innovation sessions, and cross-functional project meetings
  • Collaborating with Commercial, Technical, Process, Procurement, and Operations teams to deliver successful product launches
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional development kitchen

No two days are the same. One day you could be creating new recipe concepts in the development kitchen, the next supporting a factory trial, presenting samples to customers, or researching the latest food trends.
