Development Technology Lead, Assistant Vice President

Lead Developer – ZILO Application Platform

(FinTech | 15+ Years Financial Software Development)

Key Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in developing large-scale fintech applications (15+ years)
  • Proven expertise in financial operations (middle/back-office)
  • Strong core programming skills, including:
    • Data structures & algorithms
    • Functional decomposition & refactoring
    • Information system architecture management (microservices, 3-tier, event-driven processing, service orchestration)
    • CI/CD & Agile methodologies
  • Upward-motivated to master specialized topics in financial information processing
  • Financial domain knowledge (OTC derivatives preferred)
  • Experience with Oracle databases & PL/SQL (minimum 10 years)
  • Understanding of transfer agency systems
  • Agile delivery & SDLC experience critical

Lead Developer Responsibilities

Technical Ownership — Full Cycle
  • Lead development of the ZILO application platform, maintaining production, UAT & development environments
  • Own end-to-end technical strategy—ensuring alignment between business requirements and system design
  • Develop & maintain applications across diverse tech stacks, balancing innovation with stability
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Business Relationship Management: Partner with Operations, Compliance, Transfer Agency & Vendors
  • Translate business needs into feasible technical solutions
  • Facilitate communication between onshore/offshore teams, vendors, QA engineers, and product teams

Leadership & Mentorship
  • Conduct coding standards reviews, guide junior team members, and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Streamline code releases, risk assessment, and business continuity support
  • Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert)—troubleshoot system issues in real time
  • Proactively enhance application performance, identify critical risks, and optimize processes
Modernization & Migration
  • Assess, design, and execute migration strategies (cloud-first, hybrid environments)
  • Participate in cloud-agnostic application development (public cloud platforms)
Quality & Compliance
  • Adhere to INTERNATIONAL governance standards (ISO, FinTech regulations)
  • Ensure data conversion onboarding meets Defensible Structuring guidelines
  • Manage risk & quality posture for every feature release

Core Competencies

You will thrive with these skills:

  • đerTech (Database & PL/SQL)

    • 10+ years in Oracle PL/SQL with expertise in complex query tuning
    • Deep understanding of database performance design
    • Experience as an Oracle Database Developer (workscapes, object-relational tuning)
  • Financial Domain Expertise

    • Strong grasp of OTC derivatives, settlement processing, and Transfer Agency workflows
    • Background in vendor platforms and mission-critical transaction systems
  • Problem-Solving & Agility

    • Reverse-engineer specifications from legacy codebases to align with business logic
    • Execute priority-driven, fast-paced Agile deliverables
    • Risk-aware decision-making with minimal oversight (autonomy sought)
