About The Role: Development Trimmer
As a Development Trimmer, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting custom interior trim for one-of-a-kind automotive builds. Combining traditional trim craftsmanship with modern techniques, you’ll work alongside premium materials—such as high-grade leather—to seamlessly blend artisanal skill with technical precision. Every stitch, cut, and finish will contribute to a world where exceptional quality is non-negotiable.

Your Core Responsibilities
Your work will span the following key areas:
- Custom Trim Development: Designing and executing interior trim for unique vehicle builds
- Pattern Creation: Developing bespoke patterns and ensuring precision cutting of high-end materials
- Machine & Hand Stitching: Examples include: baseball stitching, euro stitching
- Subcomponent Trimming: Assembling and finishing intricate parts such as:
- Headliners
- Steering wheels
- Door panels
- Seat upholstery (interior and exterior)
- Process Improvement: Documenting technical issues and collaborating with the team to enhance trimming workflows
- Material Expertise: Working with a diverse range of premium materials, including leather

- Proven automotive or high-end upholstery experience, particularly as a Development Trimmer
- Proficient handling of:
- Pattern making techniques
- Machine sewing (specialty stitches)
- Hand stitching techniques (e.g., blind hemming)
- An unmatched commitment to quality—speed should never compromise artistry
- A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills

- Annual Salary: £44,000
- Working Hours:
- Mon-Thu: 07:00–17:30
- Fri: 07:00–13:45
- Optional overtime available on weekdays and Saturdays
- Contract Type: Temporary-to-permanent
