DevEx Engineer
Elevate Developer Productivity & Engineering Excellence at Evri
Want to build the tools that power engineers to move faster, ship smarter, and deliver with confidence? At Evri, we’re investing in Developer Experience as a key driver of engineering excellence. As a DevEx Engineer, you’ll shape the tooling, pipelines, processes, and workflows that enable our teams to build, test, and release software efficiently at scale. This is a high-impact role where your work will be felt across the entire engineering organisation.
Remote-first, with occasional collaboration days in Morley, Leeds.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- You’ll sit at the heart of engineering enablement, improving how developers build, test, and ship software every day.
- Design and build internal tools, automation, and developer workflows
- Optimise and scale CI/CD pipelines for performance, reliability, and speed
- Enhance build, test, and release processes end-to-end
- Identify and drive the removal of friction in all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle
- Collaborate with engineering teams to embed best practices and standards
- Create reusable tooling, templates, and shared libraries
- Improve observability, feedback loops, and developer insights
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and tooling issues
- Contribute to engineering enablement strategy and continuous improvement

What You’ll Bring:
- Strong experience with CI/CD, build systems, deployment pipelines, and the principals of the “golden path”
- Experience improving developer workflows and productivity
- Ability to design and deliver scalable internal tooling and automation
- Strong problem-solving skills across build, test, and release challenges
- Comfortable working across teams and influencing engineering practices
- Experience in platform engineering, DevEx, or engineering enablement
- Practical Knowledge of the Continuous Delivery principals, familiar with the work of Jez Humble, Dave Farley, Bryan Finster etc.
- Understanding of the DORA and SPACE metrics, and how to use them as signals to drive improvements
