DevEx Engineer

Elevate Developer Productivity & Engineering Excellence at Evri

Want to build the tools that power engineers to move faster, ship smarter, and deliver with confidence? At Evri, we’re investing in Developer Experience as a key driver of engineering excellence. As a DevEx Engineer, you’ll shape the tooling, pipelines, processes, and workflows that enable our teams to build, test, and release software efficiently at scale. This is a high-impact role where your work will be felt across the entire engineering organisation.

Remote-first, with occasional collaboration days in Morley, Leeds.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • You’ll sit at the heart of engineering enablement, improving how developers build, test, and ship software every day.
  • Design and build internal tools, automation, and developer workflows
  • Optimise and scale CI/CD pipelines for performance, reliability, and speed
  • Enhance build, test, and release processes end-to-end
  • Identify and drive the removal of friction in all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed best practices and standards
  • Create reusable tooling, templates, and shared libraries
  • Improve observability, feedback loops, and developer insights
  • Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline and tooling issues
  • Contribute to engineering enablement strategy and continuous improvement

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
