Job Description
You will play a pivotal role in migrating D2C platform services from the existing infrastructure to new hardware, ensuring minimal disruption to live trading operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Document the current D2C service landscape, identifying all services and their existing host dependencies
- Collaborate with the infrastructure team to:
- Specify, size, and procure replacement hosts
- Provision and configure new hosts, ensuring all runtimes, software, networking, and security requirements are met
- Plan and execute the end-to-end migration of D2C services to new infrastructure, including:
- Rollback planning
- Environment validation
- Post-migration sign-off
Required Skills & Experience
Java Core Competencies
- Strong understanding of Java fundamentals, including:
- Object-oriented programming
- Collections & exception handling
- Concurrency
Integration, APIs, & Databases
- Experience building and deploying event-driven and RESTful APIs
- Foundational knowledge of:
- SQL & relational database design

Infrastructure & DevOps
- Hands-on experience with:
- Linux-based server environments
- Scripting (Bash/Python)
- Provisioning/configuration tooling (e.g., Ansible or equivalent)
- Familiarity with:
- CI/CD pipelines (e.g., TeamCity or equivalent)
- Build tools (Maven or Gradle)
Containerization & Orchestration
- Practical experience with:
- Docker
- Kubernetes, including deploying and managing containerised Java services
Monitoring & Observability
- Experience with:
- Monitoring & alerting tooling (Geneos, Grafana, Prometheus or equivalent)
- Understanding of operational visibility requirements for trading platforms
