LSL Estate Agency Franchising are looking for a talented Developer to join our IT team at Your Move. This is an opportunity to work on bespoke applications that support the wider LSL Group, using modern technologies including .NET Core and Azure.

You’ll play a key role in designing, developing and supporting business-critical systems, ensuring high-quality delivery that meets agreed specifications, timelines and costs. This role suits someone who enjoys solving complex problems, takes pride in clean, efficient code, and can work both independently and collaboratively.

Role Purpose

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for owning and operating the enterprise data platforms built across on-premise RedHat & Microsoft platforms, Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. This includes delivering secure, automated, and reliable platform services using GitHub-based DevOps practices. The role is accountable for end-to-end platform lifecycle management, including build, release, and operational support.

The role holder will assist in setting the technical direction of the platforms ensuring security, resilience, performance, and cost are aligned to expectations. The platforms will support all internally developed systems and MI tools provided services across EAF and Group functions.

It is a Hybrid role with 3 days in the Newcastle upon Tyne office.

What You’ll Be Doing

Platform Ownership

  • Design, support and maintain systems based on RedHat/.Net Core/mySQL platform & the Microsoft Fabric data platform across all environments (Dev, Test, Production), ensuring high availability, performance, and resilience aligned to agreed SLAs
  • Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of platform services, covering design, build, release, and live operations, ensuring all changes are delivered in a controlled, auditable, and repeatable manner
  • Provide proactive monitoring and operational management of the platform, including Fabric pipelines, data refresh cycles, Azure dependencies, and capacity utilization
  • Drive continuous service improvement using metrics and operational insight
  • Embed a culture of ownership, accountability, and high operational standards

Provide Support to Internal and External Development Teams

  • Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of platform services, covering design, build, release, and live operations, ensuring all changes are delivered in a controlled, auditable, and repeatable manner

  • Design, implement and maintain GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), enabling automated build, validation, and deployment of all Fabric and Azure data platform components

  • Establish and enforce GitHub standards and release governance to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery

  • Control environment promotion processes across Dev, Test, and Production, implementing appropriate approval gates, rollback mechanisms, and release documentation

  • Define, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure all platform components are provisioned, configured, and version-controlled consistently

  • Ensure secure-by-design platform delivery, including RBAC, managed identities, service principals, secure secrets via Azure Key Vault, and full auditability via GitHub

Information Security & Cyber Resilience

  • Ensure all platforms are delivered in line with LSL Expected Control Suite demonstrable through KRI’s
  • Develop and maintain platform observability, including dashboards, alerting frameworks, and operational runbooks

Project Delivery

  • Act as the primary service interface for divisional data and BI teams, delivering a reliable and governed platform service
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure and Information Security teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards
  • Support onboarding of new data workloads, ensuring alignment to platform standards and operational readiness

What We’re Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with Redhat management
  • Strong experience with GitHub including Actions, PR workflows and branching strategies
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services including Entra ID, Key Vault and Azure Monitor
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code
  • Understanding of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps principles
  • Experience managing data pipelines and platform operations
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance
  • Experience with monitoring, alerting, and incident management
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
