Role Overview

Applicants must hold UK Developed Vetting Clearance to be considered for this role

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-native and on-premises infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions.
  • Configure, manage, and optimise Linux-based infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Automate deployment and operational processes.
  • Support containerised application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve release processes.
  • Ensure security throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues.
  • Produce and maintain operational documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven commercial experience (3+ years) in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
  • Strong Linux administration experience.
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of networking and security principles.
  • Strong Git knowledge.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to travel to company premises or other venues as required.
  • Maintain professional development to meet the changing demands of the job and participate in appropriate training activities, including mandatory training.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be required from time to time, commensurate with the level of skill and competence of this post, to assist with the smooth running of the business.
  • Understand, comply with, and ensure adherence to organisational standards, particularly those related to security, privacy, and ethics.
