About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client, a prominent finance organization, within their RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) team. This critical platform plays a vital role in the organization's financial operations, and the successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing this essential system. The role offers a hybrid working environment and requires SC clearance, with an emphasis on supporting a high-availability, 24/7 operational setting.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with solution architects, designers, and operational teams to ensure the platform's stability, scalability, and security. You will contribute to the development of roadmaps, implement automation strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to influence the evolution of a critical financial system while working within a forward-thinking, collaborative environment.

Qualifications
- Proven experience supporting production systems, including on-call responsibilities in a high-pressure environment
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift, particularly in on-premise deployments
- Strong background in DevOps tooling, including upgrades, troubleshooting, and process improvements
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and the development and management of CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated success in building automation-first DevOps environments that enhance efficiency and reliability
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana
- Proficiency in Linux system administration within high-availability, mission-critical environments
- Solid understanding of incident management processes, service recovery, and problem resolution
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to facilitate continuous delivery and improvement
Responsibilities
- Support, maintain, and implement changes to the client's critical RTGS platform, ensuring system stability and security
- Collaborate with solution architects and designers to develop and execute roadmaps for system enhancements and capabilities
- Educate team members and stakeholders on DevOps best practices, tools, and processes to promote a culture of continuous learning
- Manage and optimize the DevOps toolchain, including automation, deployment, and monitoring solutions
- Participate in incident management, providing rapid response and resolution to system issues
- Contribute to the development and refinement of automation workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure provisioning
- Support out-of-hours operational activities to ensure 24/7 system availability and reliability
- Assist in implementing security best practices and compliance requirements across the platform
