About The Role

We are seeking enthusiastic Junior and DevOps Engineers to join our dynamic team at Gemba Advantage. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in cloud infrastructure, automation, and digital transformation. As part of our agile delivery team, you will work closely with experienced engineers, developers, and clients to implement and manage secure, scalable platforms that support critical public sector functions. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and security of essential government services, making this a highly meaningful and rewarding position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to learn, a proactive attitude, and a passion for modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a foundational understanding of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience with scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell is preferred. A basic knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is desirable. Candidates should have a solid grasp of networking concepts, security principles, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar, will be considered an advantage. We value candidates with excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen interest in continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

As a Junior or DevOps Engineer at Gemba Advantage, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the deployment, configuration, and management of cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborating with development teams to automate build and deployment pipelines, ensuring smooth and efficient release cycles.
  • Monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing security best practices.
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of infrastructure-as-code scripts.
  • Participating in code reviews.
  • Supporting the automation of routine tasks to improve operational efficiency.
  • Engaging in continuous learning initiatives to stay current with evolving technologies and industry standards, applying this knowledge to enhance our platforms and services.
