DevOps Engineer (Azure)
A fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Engineer to join a well-established technology company delivering secure, scalable software solutions within a highly regulated environment. This role will play a key part in driving automation, improving deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and performance of critical systems. You will work across both cloud and on-premise environments, supporting modern DevOps practices and contributing to continuous delivery and platform evolution.
Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure is essential for this role.
Location: Leicestershire – hybrid, expected in the office at least 2 days per week (some public transport available from Leicester, Rugby and Market Harborough, but much easier if you drive)

Requirements for DevOps Engineer: Strong commercial experience with Microsoft Azure is essential for this role. Strong commercial experience working in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role Experience working within security-focused or highly regulated environments Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI Experience managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft environments Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell Experience with monitoring and logging solutions Strong troubleshooting skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively across teams Eligibility to obtain UK security clearance

Desirable: Experience with GitOps and modern deployment strategies Exposure to multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP Experience working in Agile environments Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer: Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery Administer and optimise cloud and on-premise application environments Implement monitoring and logging solutions across systems and applications Ensure security best practices are embedded across infrastructure and deployment processes Develop scripts and tooling to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency Support the full application lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving deployment issues Manage incidents and requests in line with structured frameworks such as ITIL Collaborate closely with software engineering and IT teams to support delivery and reliability Contribute to improving system scalability, performance and resilience
