DevOps Engineer (B2B collaboration) - London

DevOps Engineer – Core Infrastructure Platform Remote-First, US Client Collaboration (On-Site: 10 days/month in London)

Join Space Inch, the long-standing partner of a leading US asset management firm, to shape and architect the future of their modern DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering ecosystem.

About This Role

This isn’t just operations—it’s infrastructure innovation. You’ll proactively build, evolve, and scale a self-service observability-driven platform that empowers application teams to deploy safely, without duplicating deployments, security, or observability across thousands of services. The opportunity is greenfield, granting deep influence over the platform’s design and evolution for years to come.

Ideal for engineers who:

  • Own infrastructure others rely on
  • thrive in cross-team debates over system architecture
  • get excited by testing hypotheses rather than following rigid runbooks

Key Responsibilities

Summarized as "Infrastructure as the Backbone of High-Velocity Deployment"—advocate at scale:

  • CI/CD & Deployments Design, refine, and secure the full-trust CI/CD pipeline (GitHub Actions) for a global 1000+ service footprint, optimizing for: ✔ Rapid iteration without tech debt ✔ Effortless compliance (DataDog, compliance stacks) ✔ Security at every stage (image scanning, signing, etc.)

  • Kubernetes & Multi-Environment Ownership Manage production-grade clusters (EKS, multi-region), governed by: ✔ ArgoCD/Flux (GitOps pause integration) ✔ Dynamic sizing based on DataDog SLOs ✔ Zero-entry Ubuntu-based clusters for low-touch deployments

  • Platform Engineering Weaponize modularity via: ✔ Terraform anti-pattern archives ✔ Core Helm chart templates (70/30 template reuse freedom) ✔ Ansible for bootstrap/pre-deployment creators

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

    • Migration design (legacy RC vendor lock-ins → future state)
    • Cost optimization (JSON logs → consumption partner)
    • Partner escalation for WAF L3, CosmosDB functions
