Senior DevOps Elasticsearch Consultant

6 Month Contract

London/Hybrid

£680 P/D

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Elasticsearch Consultant to design, build, and optimise secure, automated data pipelines within the Elastic Stack. You'll play a key role in delivering a scalable evidence and redaction solution that ensures sensitive data is protected while maintaining an auditable, tamper-evident chain of custody.

Working closely with solution architects and client stakeholders, you'll configure Elasticsearch ingest pipelines, automate data processing, implement security controls, and support compliance-driven search and retrieval capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and optimise Elasticsearch ingest pipelines for automated data processing and redaction.
  • Configure Elasticsearch index templates, mappings, and Index Lifecycle Management (ILM).
  • Develop field-level masking, hashing, and redaction rules to protect sensitive information.
  • Implement tamper-evident metadata and support immutable audit and evidence workflows.
  • Configure secure, role-based access for operational users and auditors.
  • Integrate Logstash, Beats, and ingest processors into scalable data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and compliance stakeholders throughout delivery.
  • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and optimisation of pipeline performance and data integrity.
  • Produce technical documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge transfer materials.
  • Contribute to Agile ceremonies and continuous delivery practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
