DevOps / Cloud Engineer

Reading (Hybrid – 2 Days Per Week) | £70- £80k (DOE) + Bonus + Excellent Benefits

Must have valid right to work – no skilled worker visa provided

We're partnering with a fast-growing technology company that's transforming the way enterprise organisations manage and scale their digital platforms. Following continued investment and customer growth, they're looking to expand their Cloud Engineering team with an experienced DevOps / Cloud Engineer.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative engineering environment where you'll help shape cloud infrastructure, improve software delivery, and build highly available platforms used by enterprise customers across the UK and Europe.

Working alongside Software Engineers, Architects, and Product teams, you'll play a key role in automating infrastructure, improving deployment pipelines, and driving platform reliability as the business continues to scale.

The Role

  • Design, build and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines to support rapid software delivery.
  • Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
  • Support Kubernetes clusters and containerised applications.
  • Monitor platform performance, availability, and security.
  • Work closely with development teams to improve deployment processes and developer experience.
  • Automate operational tasks and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Champion DevOps best practices across the engineering function.

About You

You'll have previous experience working in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role and enjoy solving infrastructure challenges in modern cloud environments.

You'll ideally have experience with:

  • AWS or Azure
  • Terraform
  • Docker & Kubernetes
  • CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab
  • Linux administration
  • Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
  • Monitoring tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog
  • Working within Agile software development teams

Experience supporting SaaS platforms or microservices-based applications would be highly beneficial.
