About the Job you are considering:

Join the Financial Services Business Unit within C&CA as a DevOps Engineer, helping clients build resilient, scalable, and future-ready technology platforms. Working as a trusted advisor, you will lead the adoption of modern delivery practices, drive automation at scale, and enable high-performing engineering teams to deliver business outcomes with confidence. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in complex, data-intensive environments, collaborates effectively across diverse stakeholders, and is passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and evolving ways of working. Aligned to our vision of “Consult with Purpose. Continuously Evolve. Architect Tomorrow.”, you will help shape sustainable, secure, and efficient delivery capabilities for our clients.

Hybrid working:

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your Role:

  • Define and execute the DevOps strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with client objectives, regulatory requirements, and business priorities.
  • Lead the adoption of modern engineering and delivery practices that improve quality, consistency, and speed of delivery.
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, inclusion, and continuous learning.
  • Partner with engineering, product, security, and operational stakeholders to drive measurable improvements across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Establish governance frameworks, standards, and operating models that enable scalable and sustainable delivery.
  • Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Champion observability, service resilience, and proactive incident management to support highly available production environments.
  • Embed security, risk management, and compliance practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Promote awareness and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities and emerging practices that support a future-ready workforce.
  • Continuously assess and improve delivery performance through data-driven decision-making and operational excellence.

Your Skills:

  • Proven experience leading DevOps capabilities within large-scale, complex, and data-intensive programmes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud-based data processing architectures and enterprise delivery environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to define and implement DevOps operating models, governance standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Strong understanding of application delivery, deployment, integration, and operational support concepts.
  • Experience planning, estimating, prioritising, and delivering multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure automation, platform scalability, reliability, resilience, and performance optimisation.
  • Experience in data processing, data mapping, and technical workflow design.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Awareness of AI-driven capabilities and their application in improving engineering effectiveness and delivery outcomes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
