Description

CMap is a fast-growing software company helping project-based businesses win, deliver, and manage work… profitably.

At our core, we’re a software company. That means engineering excellence matters to us. We’re focused on building clean, scalable, high-performing systems that solve real problems for our users.

Our engineering team is trusted to make smart technical decisions, contribute to product thinking, and continuously raise the bar. We invest in quality, not just speed, and we create space for learning, innovation, and doing things the right way.

We’re proud of our product and even prouder of our people. Collaboration, openness, and input from across the business drive both our culture and our success. We keep things friendly and informal, but we’re serious about building something great together.

What we're looking for:

This is a brand new role — created because we're scaling and we need someone to help us build and run the infrastructure that keeps CMap moving. You won't be inheriting a mess or maintaining someone else's legacy. You'll be shaping things from the ground up.

Reporting to the IT & Infrastructure Director, you'll work closely with our engineering team to keep our Azure environment fast, reliable, and secure. If you're a mid-level DevOps engineer who wants real ownership and room to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
