Eligibility Criteria

  • Must currently be based in the UK.
  • This role does not provide visa sponsorship.
  • Must be willing to relocate and travel within the UK based on client/project requirements.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud / DevOps Engineer to design, automate, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will collaborate with development and operations teams to build scalable, secure, and highly available cloud solutions while supporting modern DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Develop automation scripts using Python or Bash.
  • Manage source code using Git.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments.
  • Implement cloud security and infrastructure best practices.
  • Work closely with development teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

  • 3–5 years of experience in Cloud Engineering or DevOps.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or another scripting language.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or another related STEM discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • Experience working within Agile or consulting environments.
