DevOps Lead
Location: Windsor (Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite)
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £500 inside IR35
Contract Duration: 6 months initially
Role Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to lead DevOps strategy and drive the continuous improvement of cloud and application platforms. The role focuses on AWS infrastructure, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code, and operational excellence, while working closely with development, infrastructure, security, and delivery teams. Experience supporting Salesforce deployments and integrations is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead DevOps initiatives across multiple applications and platforms.
- Design and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS environments.
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Drive monitoring, logging, observability, and release management best practices.
- Ensure security, compliance, and operational reliability across environments.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
- Mentor engineers and promote DevOps culture and automation.

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Strong AWS cloud experience.
- Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar IaC tools.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and EKS.
- Solid understanding of DevOps, SRE, Agile delivery, and automation practices.

Desirable:
- Salesforce DevOps and deployment automation experience.
- Knowledge of Salesforce platform architecture and release management.
- Experience with Datadog, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch, or AppDynamics.
- Exposure to Azure and/or GCP.
- Relevant AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Salesforce certifications.
