DEVOPS LEAD
ABOUT THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced DevOps Lead to join a growing technology organisation, leading the evolution of its cloud infrastructure, platform engineering capability and DevOps practices. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining technical delivery with team leadership.
Duties:
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, driving best practices and technical standards.
- Own the design, automation and optimisation of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive improvements across platform reliability, scalability, security and operational maturity.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform.
- Partner with engineering, product and security teams to deliver robust and secure environments.
- Champion cloud governance, observability, incident management and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Remain hands-on with complex technical challenges and platform improvements.

About You:
- Proven experience in a Lead DevOps, Platform Engineering or Site Reliability Engineering role.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure and Terraform.
- Experience building and supporting containerised environments (Docker / Kubernetes / Container Apps).
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tooling, ideally Azure DevOps.
- Experience leading teams, mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate across technical and non-technical teams.
