DevOps/ Python Engineer
Senior DevOps Engineer (Hybrid – London)
About the Role: Join our team as a Senior DevOps Engineer to drive automation, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code solutions. This 6–12 month contract role offers the flexibility of a hybrid work model with 3 days onsite per week based in London.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimise infrastucture-as-code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging Jenkins and GitHub Actions
- Apply GitOps principles using tools like ArgoCD, Codefresh, or Flux to facilitate seamless deployments
- Maintain and troubleshoot Apache Kafka environments, ensuring high availability and scalability
- Manage Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, including Docker-based containerisation and orchestration
- Author shell and SQL scripts to automate repetitive DevOps tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and optimisation
- Work with RDBMS systems to support databases and data workflows
- Oversee Git, GitHub repositories, and Artifactory for version control and artifact management

Technical Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including cluster administration and troubleshooting
- Strong proficiency in Python, with experience applying it to DevOps automation or scripting
- Terraform expertise, including defining and maintaining cloud/on-premise resources via IaC
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker, including CI/CD integration with containers
- Full familiarity with Jenkins and GitHub Actions for automated workflows
- Experience with GitOps methodologies, includingαρgoCD, Codefresh, or Flux
- Scripting skills (Shell, SQL) for build, monitoring, and troubleshooting scripts
- Comfortable working with RDBMS database systems and management tools
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and Artifactory for CI/CD pipeline optimisation
