Rate: £390 per day (Inside IR35) Duration: 3 Months rolling – ASAP start! Location: London (Hybrid: 3 days per week)
About the Role
We are partnering with a global consultancy focused on delivering next-generation engineering services for major enterprise clients. This role is pivotal within the platform engineering team, where the specialist will:
- Own the infrastructure, deployment pipelines, integrations, security controls, and operational tooling for our enterprise-grade AI platform
- Enable application teams to securely build and deploy AI services at scale
Core Technologies (Non-Negotiable Experience Required)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Strong Terraform expertise for cloud resources provisioning and management
- AWS Services:
- Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
- EC2, S3, SQS, DynamoDB, Bedrock, Kinesis
- Kubernetes:
- Expensive hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters
- Familiarity with GitOps deployment models
- Python & API Development:
- Experience with FastAPI and REST API deployments
- Secure API management, authentication, and deployment
- Cloud & Security Foundations:
- Secure cloud networking, authentication, secrets, and certificate management
- Experience with repository tools like Artifactory

Required DevSecOps & Platform Engineering Experience
- Enterprise Cloud Focus:
- Strong background in DevSecOps, particularly within regulated, enterprise-grade cloud environments
- Comfortable adhering to strict governance controls and compliance frameworks
- Troubleshooting & Observability:
- Hands-on experience debugging CI/CD pipelines, cloud formations, and security controls
- Proficiency in observability, monitoring, and alerting tools
- AI-Focused Optimisation:
- Experience in optimising AI model connectivity, latency, and platform performance
- Competent supporting high availability and mission-critical enterprise platforms
- Platform Composition:
- Familiarity with integrating observability tooling for root cause analysis and incident investigation

Key Responsibilities

Platform Development & Security:
- Build, secure, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise AI services
- Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines
- Manage IaC via Terraform with GitOps approach

Security & Compliance:
- Secure services including networking models, secrets management, certificates, and multi-environment connectivity
- Support secure deployments, resolving pipeline failures, and resolve release blockers

Operations & Observability:
- Monitor platform health, performance, and latency dependence on observability tooling
- Perform root cause analysis and investigate AI platform-wide incidents

AI Performance & Architecture Support:
- Continuously optimise AI infrastructure, focusing on connectivity, latency, and operational performance
