D&F Broker, Producer – Non-Marine Specialities Division, Willis Re
Senior producing broker role within the Non-Marine Specialities division of Willis Re. This position demands extensive expertise in the Property (Damage & Financial) market, either through prior broking experience or deep underwriting insight.
The ideal candidate will:
- Possess intimate knowledge of the Property D&F market landscape.
- Maintain extensive industry contacts spanning Willis Re’s target client base, from underwriters to C-suite executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Use established relationships to introduce and promote Willis Re to new clients in D&F spaces, including Catastrophe (Cat) on D&F, Risk on D&F, and Proportional placements.
- Generate high-value revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to pitch innovative new products or structural solutions to clients.
- Manage selected Willis Re client accounts, including market placements and compliance.
- Support consortia strategy formulation by identifying key growth areas and targeting prospective clients.
- Engage with Willis/WTW to identify partnership and expansion opportunities.
- Contribute to retro placements and Request for Proposals (RFPs) across the client portfolio.
- Liaise with reinsurers to assess market appetites and strengthen client-relationship exposures.
- Share expertise through regular market briefings tointernal stakeholders.
- Conduct post-loss analysis, assisting clients and markets in loss quantification and exposure management.

Essential Requirements & Skills
- Qualification: Degree holder or equivalent (ACII recognised qualification preferred).
- Experience: Proven track record in D&F Reinsurance Broking or Underwriting.
- Technical & Analytical Abilities:
- Mastery of communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to synthesise and apply vast amounts of information with precision.
- Flexibility & Innovation: Adaptable in negotiations, open to creative problem-solving.
- Team & Independence: Skilled in working autonomously while collaborating effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong prioritisation, deadline management, and resilience under pressure.
- Client Relations: Capable of explaining complex concepts to clients and servicing teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridges gaps between broking and client servicing teams.
- Compliance: Adheres to FCA regulations with integrity and transparency.
- Digital Literacy: Proficient in IT systems, with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Client Diversity: Tailor interactions to engage a wide spectrum of stakeholders within clients, colleagues, and underwriters.
