DFG Surveyor
DFG Surveyor – Social Housing Group, Essex
We are recruiting a DFG Surveyor to join a respected social housing group in Essex, delivering essential adaptations and improvement works across the community. As a DFG Surveyor, you will play a key role in assessing properties, managing Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) applications, and ensuring vulnerable residents can remain safe and independent in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
- Managing Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) cases from referral through to completion
- Carrying out property inspections and technical assessments
- Preparing schedules of work and specifications for adaptations
- Overseeing contractors and ensuring works are completed to a high standard
- Providing technical advice to residents, families, and partner agencies
- Ensuring compliance with relevant housing legislation, health and safety standards, and organisational procedures
- Supporting service improvement and maintaining accurate project records
- Working closely with Occupational Therapists and external stakeholders to deliver effective outcomes for residents

Requirements
The successful DFG Surveyor will have:
- Experience delivering Disabled Facilities Grant or housing adaptation projects
- Strong knowledge of housing construction, repairs, and building regulations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently
- A relevant surveying, construction, or technical qualification
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
