Podiatrist – High Risk Diabetic Foot Care (Community & Hospital)

Job Overview

Are you a qualified clinician passionate about specialist foot care, particularly for patients with diabetic foot complications or those considered "at risk"? Join the Hillingdon Podiatry team—the borough’s leading provider for the Multidisciplinary Foot Team at Hillingdon Hospital—where you’ll make a difference by preventing amputations and reducing hospital admissions related to foot issues.

This critical role involves working autonomously and collaboratively across community clinics (Eastcote, Heston, Uxbridge Health Centres) and secondary care to deliver high-risk podiatric care. You’ll support GP referrals, fast-track vascular emergencies, and work with diabetes consultants, surgeons, and other specialities to protect the at-risk foot.

Ideal candidates will be highly organised, ** dissolve updated with best practice**, and committed to continuous professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Specialist Role

  • Provide comprehensive high-risk podiatric care for complex diabetic foot cases, including:
    • Acute/chronic foot wounds in neuropathic, vascular, and immunocompromised patients
    • Active osteomyelitis, Charcot arthropathy, and neuropathic ulcers
    • Pre- and post-operative wound management following amputations
  • Perform advanced debridement (neuropathic, ischaemic, chronic wounds) with precise hand-eye coordination
  • Manage biomechanical assessment, gait analysis, and orthotic provision for musculoskeletal (MSK) and biomechanical complications
  • Deliver detailed clinical reasoning in assessing, diagnosing, and treating high-risk foot ailments
  • Develop and implement personalised care plans to prevent further complications

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
