Diagnostic Technician Stellantis &You – Guildford, Permanent Full Time
Role Summary
- Location: Stellantis &You, Guildford
- Contract: Permanent Full Time
- Salary:
- Basic: Up to £40,404
- OTE (On-Target Earnings): £45,000
- Sign-On Bonus ( phased): £1,500 (from 1 September 2025) + £750 (upon joining), £250 (upon accreditation), £500 (after 12 months)
- Additional Benefits:
- Efficiency bonus
- +£91/month salary uplift for MOT-qualified technicians
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician specialising in diagnostics, with a passion for continuous learning and the drive to master Stellantis brand products. As a key member of our aftersales team, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring high-quality vehicle care and customer satisfaction.
Ideal candidates should hold:
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Motor Vehicle Technology (IMI-recognised)
- OR City & Guilds Level 3 qualification
- OR equivalent experience

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality-first repairs for a customer-focused, first-time-fix experience.
- Perform vehicle health checks, identifying issues and upsell opportunities.
- Collaborate with workshop supervision to align on work progress and priorities.
- Continuous upskilling: engage in training, including EV diagnostics, to stay at the forefront of technology.
- Provide technical assistance and coach colleagues in diagnostic processes.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
- (MOT assessments where applicable, per DVSA standards.)

The Role in Practice
Day-to-day experience: As a Diagnostic Technician, your role blends hands-on technical expertise with mentorship:
- Specialising in complex diagnostics—navigating diagnostics tools to pinpoint faults across all vehicle systems, from standard services to high-tech solutions.
- Kollegial support—assisting team members alongside independent problem-solving.
- Bridge role between workshop technicians and service advisors, ensuring transparent communication about vehicle issues and repair plans.
